What Kind Of Impact Does Stress Have On Breast Cancer?
Although some studies have shown that factors such as traumatic events and losses can alter immune system functions, these studies have not provided any evidence of a direct cause-and-effect relationship between stress and breast cancer. An area currently being studied is whether or not stress reduction can improve immune response and slow progression in women diagnosed with breast cancer.

Ovarian Cancer
The mission of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition is to raise awareness and promote education about ovarian cancer. The Coalition is committed to improving the survival rate and quality of life for women with ovarian cancer.
About Ovarian Cancer
More than 20,000 women in the United States are diagnosed with ovarian cancer each year, and approximately 14,000 women die annually from the disease. Unfortunately, most cases are diagnosed late when prognosis is poor. However, if caught early, ovarian cancer is over 90% treatable. It’s imperative that the early signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer are recognized not only by women, but their loved ones and the medical community as well. There is currently NO early detection test for ovarian cancer, nor is there a vaccination to prevent the disease. The key to early diagnosis is awareness.
Symptoms of Ovarian Cancer
Potential signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer:
Bloating
Pelvic or abdominal pain
Trouble eating or feeling full quickly
Feeling the need to urinate urgently or often

Building Inner Beauty
BIB - Miss Inner Beauty I love being a part of this amazing pageant!
BIB is a network of people with big hearts who want to make a positive impact in the community. BIB is comprised of men and women volunteers called our Dream Team, enthusiastic
girls ages 2-19, and moms, aunts, neighbors, and friends. BIB meets approximately eight times throughout the year for workshops and service projects.
The workshops are designed to empower BIB girls and women as they battle through the challenges life throws at us. Workshop topics include social skills, affirmations, positive thinking, fashion, hair and makeup tips, public speaking, etiquette and more.
Thank you Crissy Broeske for an amazing pageant.

Wounded warrior half marathon
Wounded Warrior Half & 10K
Nearly 3,000 runners are expected for the Wounded Warrior Half Marathon on Sunday, June 10, 2012, in Las Colinas, Texas. The event will honor our men and women of the military and help raise money for the Semper Fi Fund, which provides assistance to Marines and Sailors injured in post 9-11 combat, and ReserveAid, which gives financial support to Reserve Service Members from all branches of the military. In addition to the Wounded Warrior Half Marathon, there will also be a 10K and Military Mile Fun Run. The course start and finish will be around Williams Square with much of the race taking place on the beautiful Campion Trails. A post-race party is planned with food, drink and live music provided by country music recording artist Dave Roberts. The Texas-born Roberts, a Captain Cobra Pilot with the Marines, is currently serving in Afghanistan.
